Apply for Special Event Permit

To apply for a Special Event Permit, follow these steps:

  1. Read the appropriate governing policies and submittal requirements regarding the type of permit you are applying for. They cover the rules and the information you must provide with your application:
  2. Apply no later than 60 days prior to the date of the event.
    Failure to do so may result in not being able to complete the appeal process if a referral agency denies your request based on either inadequate information, not enough information or other issues.
  3. For County Roads or Private Land permits, payment by credit card can be made by contacting the Planning Department at (970) 498-7683. Payment by cash or check will require paying in person before the approval process can begin.
