Comments: Standard race and outdoor event requirements shall apply and include the following: -Food service will be provided for the event, however it is unclear from the application or website what will be served. All food vendors must hold a 2024 Colorado retail food license, or a 2024 Larimer County Temporary Event License. The event coordinator shall complete a free Event Coordinator Application for food service at least 30 days prior to the event: https://www.larimer.gov/health/environmental-health/food-safety-program. Registered non-profit organizations based in Larimer County are exempt from food licensing requirements. Food service shall be in conformance with applicable standards for temporary events. -Drinking water shall be made available during the event. Water for drinking purposes can be provided by existing drinking fountains, commercial bottled water, or from an approved municipal supply dispensed in approved food-grade containers that are clean and sanitized. -All beverages served at aid stations shall be individually packaged, or offered in single-use disposable cups. Beverages that do not require refrigeration for food safety can be provided without a Colorado retail food license. If dispensing from bulk containers, please ensure the containers have been cleaned and sanitized and are designed of food-grade materials. Only treated water from municipal supplies may be used for beverages. -Foods served at the aid stations throughout the course are commercial, individually packaged and not open for self-service. Only shelf-stable foods that can be served at room temperature (no refrigeration required) are allowed with out a Colorado retail food license. -The event takes place in Larimer County Parks, therefore restroom needs shall be addressed with that Department. If existing restroom facilities are closed during this season, an adequate number of portable toilets is required. It is always recommended to have extra portable facilities available at the start/finish area, and halfway through the race. -It is strongly recommended that handwashing stations (in addition to hand sanitizer) be provided for portable restroom areas and Larimer County Parks restroom facilities lacking hand sinks. -Trash cans shall also be available at aid stations, food service areas and restrooms to prevent miscellaneous items being disposed in the restroom holding tanks (portable toilets and park restroom vaults). -It is acknowledged that EMS and Larimer County Dive Rescue Team will be onsite for the event. Please ensure there is a plan in place for communication should an emergency situation arise.Larimer County Emergency Management
