Description:
This is our 25th Annual Full Moon Open Bass Tournament! We are a 501(c)4 organization located in Northern Colorado for 38 years. This is our once a year fund-raiser that helps fund our conservation projects, our Youth Clubs, and donations to local charities throughout the year! Contestants fish twelve hours through the night (7p.m.-7 a.m.) in hopes of winning prizes and trophies/plaques awards. All Colorado State laws and regulations are strictly adhered to. All Coast Guard and B.A.S.S. rules and regulations are followed. All boats must carry at least $300,000 Liability insurance, and other Larimer County Insurance requirements are met by the Cetennial Bass Club. The total 55 boats will meet on the water at South Bay for an on the water ceremony prior to taking off to find their starting fishing spots. All fish must be immediately released if not legal limit size (CPW) and maximum of five bass at any one time in the livewells. Walleye for the side pot may be brought in separately. All participants must wear aa certified Life vest at all times when big motor is engaged. We have several EMTs, Firefighters, and off duty policemen fishing this tournament and have communications set up through professional walkie talkies and have all the Rangers phone numbers of on duty boat and other LC Rangers. At no time do we impact other users and boaters during the twelve hours of competition. No additional staff is needed for this event. We have little or no impact on the natural resources as we do release all bass with less than a 1% kill rate. We will be using the South Bay Pavillion for our Sunday morning awards ceremony.
