Description:
This one day event is an opportunity to share Guided Hope with the community and raise support for the non-profit. On this day, we will offer family games, food, non-alchoholic beverages, time with our animal ambassadors, and lead-line rides on our program horses in the arena. Parking will be on our property. A disabled-accessible port-a-potty and a wash station will be on-site. Hand sanitizer will be available in multiple areas. Volunteers will assist throughout the event for safety, direction, and trash removal. Guy and Kaarin Scoma will be on-site for the duration of the event. All activities will be outside, with no existing buildings being used. Thank you.

Comments: Please provided additional information for following items: -The application stated there will be food provided at the event and the website states there will be a chili cookoff and pie baking contest. Please provide additional information about who will be participating in cookoff and contest and if the food will be served or sold to attendees. -Provide plan for providing potable water to guests at the event. Water from a untreated well is NOT approved. If this event is approved the Health Department has additional comments below: -The applicant is proposing 1 portable restroom for the event. Based on the attendance of the event, a minimum of 4 portable restrooms should be provide unless the applicant can provide documentation from the sanitation company verifying that 1 portable restroom will support the event. -The residence onsite is supported by a septic system. This system CANNOT be used for event. -Handwashing stations must be adequately stocked with hand soap, water, paper towels, and waste bin at all times. -The Larimer County Noise Ordinance will apply to this event. A maximum of 55 decibels is allowed from 7am to 7pm, and a maximum of 50 decibels is allowed from 7pm to 7am at the event site property lines. The applicant must ensure methods are in place to limit disturbance and impacts to neighboring properties resulting from event activities, music, attendees, etc. The Larimer County Sheriff responds to noise complaints after hours and on weekends. -The event coordinator shall evaluate necessary dust mitigation strategies such as slow speeds, mowing of vegetation and use of a water truck on dirt/gravel roads on the property as needed. -Adequate lighting shall be provided after dark to ensure parking areas, walking paths and event area is illuminated for safety. -Adequate trash receptacles shall be available throughout the site. -Prior to the event the applicant should evaluate the event site for any necessary vector control (fly control, etc.). -Please ensure there is an emergency communication plan and ensure all volunteers/staff are familiar with the plan.
