Additional Information Submitted by Applicant
1. Date Submitted: 07/10/2023Emergency Plan - Windsor Marathon: Shawn Wherry and Mandy Mullen (race directors) will be the point of contact at the race start/finish. We work with Workzone and Weld County Amateur Radio Crew (stationed throughout the course) to manage communication regarding safety management of the race and participants with proper lines of communication back to the two race directors listed above. Because 90% of the course/event takes place in Windsor, CO we work with Windsor PD, Windsor Severance Fire, and the Town of Windsor regarding all permitting, alerting all emergency services of the race. Ultimately communication from aid stations, Radio Crew, Work zone is directed to race directors, unless there is need to call 911 directly, in which case all parties are instructed to do so. We work very closely with our Town of Windsor, Windsor PD and Fire to ensure they are aware of the race, we are permitted, and we implement any safety strategies recommended.
