Comments: --It is understood that this is a limited camping venue on a private residential property for day 0 of the Ride the Rockies event. --The site plan has an outline of the venue area with a list of accommodations (luggage trucks, portable restrooms, camping tents). However, the location of the accommodations is not shown on the plan. We would request that the site plan and operations manual be updated to include each campground area/venue to show relative locations of accommodations as well as the egress and ingress routes for emergencies. --10 portable restrooms will be available for campers. Please note use of onsite residential restrooms is not approved. For a 500 maximum attendance at one time with no food or alcohol service, this number should be adequate. At least one toilet must be ADA compliant. 2 portable handwashing stations will be required for 10 portable toilets. --Waste receptacles shall be provided in adequate quantity in convenient locations throughout the event (in camping area, at restrooms/handwashing stations). --Per the application, potable water will be provided in coolers. Potable water shall be provided in sufficient quantity for guests, the Health Department recommends providing enough to provide 1 gallon per person per day. Approved water dispensers must be food safe and cleaned and sanitized prior to use (such as hard-sided beverage dispensing coolers/receptacles). Drinking water shall be from a municipal source, well water is not approved. We would ask for clarification on the source from which water is being supplied. --Please ensure an adequate number of waste receptacles are provided throughout the venue and at portable restroom areas/hand washing stations. Handwashing stations shall be stocked with water, soap and paper towels at all times. --The Larimer County Noise Ordinance will apply to this event (noise from campers, etc.). A maximum of 55 decibels is allowed from 7am to 7pm, and a maximum of 50 decibels is allowed from 7pm to 7am at the event site property lines. The applicant must ensure methods are in place to limit disturbance and impacts to neighboring properties resulting from amplified noise. --Adequate lighting must be provided in parking areas, walking paths and event at this location for safety. This can be accomplished by using light towers in the camping area and venue. -Please ensure all staff and volunteers are familiar with the emergency communication plan for the event. -Please defer to the Building Department comments on electrical installation requirements to support the event. -Attendees/campers should be reminded to avoid contact with wildlife. For concerns regarding sick,/injured/aggressive wildlife, contact Animal Protection & Control at 970-226-3647 ext. 7.
