Running last 13.1 miles of Marathon course. 5 Mile - 5 miles on Poudre Canyon Road/Hwy 14 from Gateway to Finish. Running last 5 miles of Marathon and Half Marathon course. All races finish in the same place on private land parcel #0814000021

Description:
11th Annual Event: Marathon, Half Marathon & 5 Mile Running races -Marathon start at Ohana Mountain Ranch -Half Marathon start at the Mishawaka -5 Mile start at Gateway East bound lane closure of Poudre Canyon Road From Stove Prairie Road to N CR29C - same as last 4 years. Marathon race runs 10 miles in the Buckhorn Canyon from Ohana Ranch to the Poudre Canyon/Hwy 14 on Stove Prairie Road, turning right and running the rest of the race down the Poudre Canyon on Highway 14 and finishing on private land 0.5 miles west of Ted's Place/Hwy 287. Half Marathon starts at the Mishawaka and runs down the Poudre Canyon in East bound lane to Finish area (last 13 miles of marathon course) 5-Mile race starts at Gateway Natural Area and runs last 5 miles of marathon & half marathon courses finishing at the same location.

Comments: 09/07/2023 - Thank you for providing additional information on the portable restrooms. Based on the numbers provided it appears the portable restrooms will be adequate. **Original comment** Please provide additional information on portable restroom plans for the finish area. An adequate number of portable restrooms must be provided at finish area. If the event is approved the Health Department has the following additional comments. =Portable restrooms shall be provided with adequate trash receptacles at the start and finish areas, and throughout the course route on County roads. = At least one portable handwashing station shall be provided for every 5 portable restrooms and at food service areas. Portable handwashing stations must be adequately stocked with hand soap, paper towels, and waste bin. =Application states that aid stations will NOT provide food. Please not if this chances food and beverage service at aid stations is limited to water, energy drinks, gels, energy bars, whole fruits, and other prepackaged/shelf-stable food items. =Water (and prepared energy drinks) shall be from a public, treated water supply transported and dispensed in clean food grade containers. Water from untreated wells is not approved. =Adequate trash receptacles shall be provided at the aid stations throughout the run route. =Provide first aid kits at aid stations for minimal injuries as well as effective communication services in the event of an emergency. =The application stated that there will be food provided post-race. Please note food vendors must hold a 2023 Colorado Retail Food License, 2023 Temporary Food License, or must be an approved Larimer County non-profit organization. Food service shall be in conformance with applicable standards and shall follow safe food handling.
