Description:
One or two researchers will be present on two consecutive days each month, May through September. The dates above are approximates; actual dates will depend on weather conditions, etc. We will nondestructively establish a 50m-long vegetation transect to assess wildflower presence and abundance. Subsequent to that we will place a set of 3 blue vane insect traps to sample the species of pollinators (primarily bees) present on site. Traps will be left on site for 24 hours and retrieved the next day. Insects in the traps will be identified, recorded, and released on site.
