Location:
Marathon will start at Edora Park in Fort Collins. Route will use bike path from Edora Park (Spring Creek Trail & Fossil Creek Trail) to Fossil Creek Park with a short (.75 mile) road section through the Clarendon Hills neighborhood (Hilldale, Apple, Paradise, Fossil Creek Dr). From Edora Park, route will follow the Front Range Trail to Boyd Lake and the Loveland Rec Trail to the finish at Fairgrounds Park.

The half marathon will follow the same route as the marathon from Fossil Creek Path to the finish at Fairgrounds.

Description:
Marathon & Half Marathon running from Fort Collins to Loveland. Full marathon starts at Edora Park and the half marathon at Fossil Creek Park.

Half marathon and marathon courses share the same route through the County, using the Front Range Trail from Trilby to Boyd Lake State Park, and heading south through Boyd Lake to Denver for a short stretch before picking up Loveland Rec Path to the finish at Fairgrounds Park. Post race activities at Fairgrounds.

Race will provide buses back to the start.

Traffic control will be provided by a local traffic control company (AWP). Final traffic control plans will be uploaded once a meeting has taken place with City of Fort Collins, County & Loveland Police/Traffic. Please see attached for plans approved for last year's race. We do not anticipate any changes.

Sanitation will be provided by Republic.

Comments: -Per the event website, there will be 9 fluid stations along the Marathon route and 4 for the Half Marathon. Stations will be stocked with water, sports drink, gels and other snacks. If there are any proposed food vendors for the event, vendors must hold 2023 Colorado Retail Food License. Please note only individually packaged, shelf-stable food/drink items (no refrigeration required) or whole, uncut fruits and vegetables are allowed without a Colorado Retail Food License. -Drinking water/ice shall be from a public, treated water supply (which can be transported and dispensed in clean and sanitized food grade containers, commercial bottled water or from potable water taps onsite if conveniently located). -Portable restrooms will be provided at aid stations throughout the race course. At least one ADA compliant toilet must be provided. It is always recommended to have portable restrooms at start/finish areas to supplement permanent restroom facilities as needed. It is strongly recommended that handwashing stations be provided for portable restroom areas, food service areas, and any Larimer County Parks restroom facilities lacking hand sinks. -Please ensure an adequate number of trash receptacles are provided as needed throughout the course, especially in food service area. -Please provide an emergency action/communication plan and please ensure all volunteers/staff are familiar with this plan. Please note that for large events (greater than 500 people), the Special Events regulation provides guidelines for both ambulance and first aid services.
