Description:
The Loveland Fishing Club would like to offer its annual Senior Fishing Derby at Flatiron Reservoir. The Pavilion has been reserved for this event. The event hours are 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.; however, LFC members will arrive around 6:30 a.m. for setup and leave approximately 2:00 p.m. after cleanup. Attendees are pre-registered with the possibility of a few participants registering on Derby day. The event target groups are residents of assisted living facilities, accompanied by facility staff members, and seniors age 65+. The LFC volunteer members assist the participants with fishing. Bait, gear, and fish cleaning are provided by LFC. Facility fishing licenses and a few individual senior fishing licenses are acquired prior to the event. Food and singing around a campfire may be available to round out a day of fun beside a lake in the mountains.
