Description:
The Friday Farmers Market is an event that has been taking place at Well Fed Farmstead (Previously known as Raisin' Roots Farm) for 4 years running.
It hosts up to 6 other local vendors, allowing them to sell their wares from 3-6pm every Friday of the Market season, May 5th-October 27th. A Special Events permit for the same event was approved in 2022.

It is a short event, where customers are not expected to stay any longer than 30 minutes, and as such does not need to provide restrooms for the public.
It is not estimated that any event would exceed 500 guests and no medical professional is needed.
The event will occur during daylight hours so no additional light is needed.
Parking is provided along the extra wide shoulder of vine dr. Approval has been given for this parking arrangement in 2022.
Also in 2022, the Fire Department gave their approval for the event.
Any music provided or performed at the market will not carry an unreasonable distance from the location of the special event.
All food vendors are selling non-prepared foods that are raw agricultural products or fall under a cottage foods designation.
No exotic or livestock animals are present on the farm. No dogs are allowed at the event.

If allowed, the farmers market would like to host food trucks to serve prepared foods on a weekly or bi-weekly basis.

This event has been loved and accepted by the surrounding neighborhood and offers a great opportunity to purchase local goods for the Fort Collins Community. It is also a great place for folks to get together and see a local vegetable farm in-person, connecting to a place where food is grown and harvested.

Status: Approved

Comments: The Health Department has no significant concerns with the event. The applicant shall follow the standard requirements for events: --In addition to event vendors, food truck vendors are proposed. Food truck vendors must hold a 2023 Colorado Retail Food License, or a 2023 Larimer County Retail Food License. --An adequate number of portable restroom facilities shall be supplied for the event to support the maximum number of guests at any given time. The applicant indicates that attendees are not expected to be onsite longer than 30 minutes, however with food service, this may be an underestimate. For 0-50 attendants for 1-3 hours, 1 portable restroom is recommended. For 50-100 attendees for 1-3 hours, 2 portable restrooms are recommended. --Especially with food service, at least one handwashing station shall be provided and adequately stocked with soap, water, papertowels, waste bin and wastewater collection bucket (if applicable). This can include a camping style handwashing station set-up. --Potable water shall be made available to event guests by commercial bottled water for sale or free, or from approved water dispensing containers. Drinking water must come from a treated public water supply. --Please review the following checklist and handout regarding Cottage Foods (what foods are eligible, which are not, where they can be sold, producer requirements, etc.): =https://drive.google.com/file/d/1btln2baezWeXzkmQtsZFXaSFhFv5U0q2/view =https://drive.google.com/file/d/1nl9oYpbZWOzNIPU0S8hqjuog-HAxkXiU/view
