Our goal of this yearly event is to provide skills and training to Boy Scouts so that they may enjoy the outdoors safely and plan accordingly as responsible partners to our natural environment. We are requesting the use of the lower portion of the Eagle Campground from the picnic area through the lower section as used for previous years. The Campground facilities will be used for traffic, parking and sanitary needs. Our event is comprised of Boy Scouts from several troops with BSA Troop 767 as the host troop. All activities will be supervised by adults. A portion of our weekend is also providing a service to Larimer County Parks through a service project designated by the park staff.

Comments: The emergency plan should be to activate 911 for any emergency, which needs to be written into the emergency plan. The written emergency plan needs to have contact information and method of contact during the event for the adult supervision, in the case that emergency services need to contact someone. The current document lists "The Adult Leader in Charge" as the main point of contact. This should have an associated name and contact information.Engineering

Comments: Email to applicant sent 1/30/23 requesting additional information of food and restroom facilities. 3/10/23- Thank you for submitting additional information. -It is understood that each patrol is responsible for their own procurement, transportation, storage and preparation of food and beverages for the event. We ask that safe food handling and safe dishwashing/sanitizing be practiced: --It is strongly recommended that limited cooking and food prep be conducted onsite to reduce the risk of contamination, such as dehydrated backpacking meals, vacuum sealed tuna packets, instant foods such as oatmeal, etc. --Foods that require refrigeration will be stored in coolers. Ensure cold food is held at a temperature below 41 degrees F. --Cooked food should be well done at 165*F (lower temps safer for other types of meat). Safe food handling and cooking temperatures can be found here: https://www.fda.gov/food/buy-store-serve-safe-food/safe-food-handling --Use calibrated thermometers onsite --Provide handwashing stations. This can be achieved by using insulated beverage dispensers filled with warm water and a bucket to collect wastewater. Soap and paper towels shall be provided. If restrooms do not provide running water, another handwashing station should be provided near the restrooms. --A "3 pot" method will be utilized for washing, rinsing and sanitizing dishware using bleach as a sanitizer. Please ensure pots/containers used for this are food grade. Chlorine sanitizer should be made with unscented household bleach at a 50-100 ppm chlorine bleach concentration and verified using proper test strips. --I recommend visiting our food safety webpage for additional food safety tips for temporary events (there is also a great food safety checklist): https://www.larimer.gov/health/environmental-health/food-safety-programLarimer County Emergency Management
