A timed entry, reservation based, contactless event comprised of driving through a mile long display of lights on private property. There will be 23 nights. Wednesday-Saturday except for the week leading up to Christmas; that will be all week. The entire experience will last no longer than 30 minutes per car and proceeds will benefit Colorado Youth Outdoors.

Applicant is requesting to appeal to Section 7.2.B., 7.2.D. and Section 7.3.B.1. of the current Land Use Code to host more than 3 events in a calendar year, there shall be no more than one special event allowed on a property in a calendar month and gatherings on property that has received and is subject to an existing land use approval that limits the number, type and nature of gatherings to be held on the property (i.e., community halls).

Status: ApprovedComments: Any development as defined in the Larimer County Land Use Code Article 12, which includes any manmade change to improved and unimproved real estate, including, but not limited to, buildings or other structures, mining, dredging, filling, grading, paving, excavating or drilling operations, within the regulatory floodplain requires a floodplain development permit. Development is not allowed within the Zone AE (Floodway) Floodplain. Overnight camping and overnight parking are not allowed within the Zone AE (Floodway) Floodplain. Porta Potties are not allowed within the Zone AE (Floodway) Floodplain. If they are located within the Zone AE (Flood Fringe) Floodplain, they must be anchored. It is highly recommended to locate them outside of the Zone AE (Flood Fringe) Floodplain.
Status: ApprovedComments: The Health Department has reviewed this special event application and has no concerns as this is a drive-through event where attendees will be onsite and in vehicles for 30 minutes or less. It is acknowledged that no food or beverage will be provided during this event. If there are dry days during the duration of this event, we recommend light wetting of dirt roads onsite to control dust.
