Description:
I am an instructor with the Army ROTC program at Colorado State. We would like to apply for a permit to use Duncan's Ridge on Sept 1, 2022 between the hours of 1500-1800. We would like to conduct a mountaineering practical exercise and use the ridge to rappel. We would have no more than 130 students and instructors on the site at the same time. We would use buses for drop off and pick up.
- Dunan's ridge will provide us the opportunity to train required skills for our Cadets needed to successful throughout their accessions and selection process. We hope to use the area to give a greater appreciation of what Larimer County has to offer in outdoor spaces, and to instill proper stewardship and treatment of our public lands.
- We are a large group, but I belive we will have a minimum impact. Based on a later afternoon/evening timed event in the middle of the week, there should be minimum foot traffic outside of our group.

1. Date Submitted: 07/12/2022- We plan on training in three groups to disperse our footprint at Duncan and not overwhelm the rappelling site. Only one group will be rappelling at a time.
- We will comply with all appropriate regulations and ordinances.
-We have four qualified staff members to lead the training and all the required equipment. Personnel have basic medical training and there will be two vans able to transport any injuries to nearby medical centers.
- We will minimize parking disruption by only driving our three unit vans/trucks and transport the main body by University buses.
- No toilet facilities will be needed. We regularly conduct our labs in areas without restrooms. It is a short training window.
- Any requirements to repair/reclaim disturbed areas will be fully supported in any way possible.

Comments: Please provide:1. A certificate of insurance with event insurance/general liability limits no less than $1,000,000 per occurrence / $2,000,000 general aggregate. The certificate of insurance must name Larimer County as certificate holder (Larimer County 200 W Oak St Suite 4000 Fort Collins, CO 80525) and list Larimer County as additional insured. Please note that Larimer County does not accept additional insured language that limits additional insured status to that which is “required by contract”, however, "by agreement" is an acceptable addition.
