Geology student field trip and geological mapping exercise as part of a Colorado State University degree course (GEOL 376, Geologic Field Methods). Students will observe and make non-invasive observations (e.g. geological compass measurements) on rock outcrops in order to prepare a geological map. Students will traverse along Bent Rock trail in small groups under the supervision of an instructor and assistant. They will leave the trail for short distances in order to observe nearby rock outcrops.
