Devil's Backbone Open Space

This is a higher education even for our GEL2530 Intro to Field Geology course where a small group of adult students (12 or less) will be engaged in path field book mapping and strike & dip measurements using a Brunton compass. Field notebook descriptions at certain areas are part of the curricular activity that day. The activity is low impact and will be conducted on the geologic trail loop at Devil's Backbone, mostly on or near the established path. NO samples will be collected.
A liability waiver from all participating students and instructor shall be provided.
Students will arrive in individual cars or small carpool groups. We are hoping that vehicle fees can be waived.

Status: More Information Needed

Comments: Please provide a certificate of insurance with event insurance/general liability limit no less than $1,000,000 per occurrence / $2,000,000 general aggregate. The certificate of insurance must name Larimer County as the certificate holder (Larimer County 200 W Oak St Suite 4000 Fort Collins, CO 80525) and list Larimer County as an Additional Insured. Please note that Larimer County does not accept Additional Insured language that limits additional insured status to that which is “required by contract”, however, "by agreement" is an acceptable addition.

Thank you
