Health

Status: Approved

Comments: The application indicates that 2 portable restrooms and the restroom in the residence will be available for guests. Please note that the property is served by a septic system which is not designed to accommodate an event of this capacity, and therefore the residence bathrooms shall not be used as part of the weeding event. Enough portable restrooms have to be available outside for guests at the reception and again provided in the camping area. At a minimum for the ceremony and reception area with alcohol service for approximately 3-4 hours, 3 portable toilets shall be provided. Since the camping area is further away, a minimum of 1 portable restroom shall be provided to support the overnight guests, with access to the reception area portables for those that can walk the distance. No information was provided on the source of the pulled pork sandwiches. If contracting the food service out to a business (ex: caterer), the food business shall be an approved source that holds a 2022 Colorado Retail Food License with all food preparation in a commercial kitchen. No information was provided regarding water for guests. The property is connected to Little Thompson Water District and therefore a potable source of water can be provided. Please have multiple beverage coolers for filling water glasses on-site, or provide bottled water to guests to keep them hydrated during an all-day event in July heat. Please note that Larimer County has a Noise Ordinance limiting sound levels during the day and evening for events. The property is 35 acres but there are homes within a few hundred feet. Music for the reception and crowd noise shall be limited to prevent noise levels form exceeding 50 decibels at the property lines. Since the event is over the weekend complaints regarding noise disturbances would be directed to the Sheriff's department. If not already doing so, please notify neighbors of event and provide contact information so that they may notify owners to resolve issues before contacting the sheriff.
