Status: Approved

Comments: The application indicates that food will be 'packaged' but then mentions a cook out. If utilizing a restaurant, grocery store, caterer or other food provider, please make sure the food service provider is approved by the Health Department and holds a 2022 Colorado Retail Food License.
=The City of Loveland has licensed kitchens to conduct food service from (Chilson Rec Center, Senior Center). Food for the event may be pre-prepared and stored in these facilities or purchased from a grocery store, restaurant, or caterer. No food may prepared and/or stored in a private residence. The intended participants in this event are a highly susceptible population and require all precautions to be taken for safe food service.

On-site restrooms are provided, but no running water for handwashing. Please provide a temporary handwashing station to wash hands before eating. There are various options for renting or purchasing portable handwashing stations, but a simple camping-style, do-it-yourself setup would be adequate. This type of setup includes a table with a water container with a flow-control valve, a bucket to collect wastewater (to be dumped in the outhouses), soap, paper towel and a trash receptacle. Examples provided here:
https://www.youngfarmers.org/fsma_resources/portable-handwashing-stations/

Potable drinking water shall be provided by means of bottled water or clean beverage dispensers filled with treated water.

Since this is an outdoor event, it is recommended that shade be provided if not already provided by the coordinators.

Provide first aid kits at aid stations for minimal injuries (cuts/punctures from hooks) as well as effective communication services in the event of an emergency.
