Description:
The Alzheimer’s Association Ride to End ALZ is a cycling event series to directly impact the pace and momentum behind the fight to end Alzheimer’s. Inspired by science and driven by a determination to end this disease, participants in Ride to End ALZ raise funds and awareness to advance research toward the first survivor of Alzheimer’s.
Ride to End ALZ is a fully supported event for a range of riders, whether you’re a novice cyclist, weekend warrior or avid enthusiast. Choose a virtual event or an in-person event that challenges you to go to distance to fight Alzheimer’s.

Comments: The Health Department has no significant concerns and ask that the standard requirements are followed for bike/road events:=Portable restrooms shall be provided with adequate trash receptacles throughout the course route on County roads.
=Please keep food and beverage service at aid stations limited to water, energy drinks, gels, and other prepackaged/shelf-stable food items.
=Water (and prepared energy drinks) shall be from a public, treated water supply transported and dispensed in clean food grade containers.
=Adequate trash receptacles shall be provided at the aid stations throughout the run route.
=Provide first aid kits at aid stations for minimal injuries as well as effective communication services in the event of an emergency.
=It is acknowledged that restrooms and food/beverage service will be provided at the CSU Canvas Stadium (start/finish). The food for the post-race was noted to be catered. Please ensure that the caterer/food service operation holds a 2022 retail food license (CSU cafeterias, Canvas Stadium vendors, restaurants, etc), licensed temporary event vendors, and/or licensed mobile units (trucks/carts).

Comments: 1. Describe in detail where and how emergency services will be provided (treatment and transport).2. Describe traffic control in detail: location and how any barricades will be placed, staffed and removed for emergency traffic. Per the Fire Code, a minimum travel width of 20 is required for fire apparatus access roads.
3. Will food trucks be part of the event? If so, they are required to have a 2022 Fire Permit from either Loveland Fire Rescue Authority or Poudre Fire Authority.
