Description:
7th Annual event - Going back to the same race routes as 2019 & previous years - Half Marathon and 4 Mile run/walk starting and finishing at Anheuser-Busch (see attached course map).

Half Marathon is an out and back course run on the shoulder/bike lane turning around in the parking lot of the Chapel of The Annunciation at 290 E. County Road (The Chapel has given approval for the use of their parking lot).

4-Mile runs the square mile of county roads from AB Tour Center (City of Fort Collins Special Event permit also applied for) in the large shoulder/bike lane of Richards Lake Road, CR9, Mountain Vista, and Busch Drive.

Anheuser-Busch Biergarten is a licensed premise for the service of beer and all alcohol will be confined to their designated beer garden area so event will not be applying for a separate special event liquor license.

Traffic Control Plan Added. Portion of course that requires law enforcement is within City of Fort Collins so I have a request for the crossing at Richards Lake Road and & CR9 to be staffed by City Police.

Comments: The Health Department has no significant concerns and ask that the standard requirements are followed for race events:
=Portable restrooms shall be provided with adequate trash receptacles throughout the course route on County roads.
=Please keep food and beverage service at aid stations limited to water, energy drinks, gels, and other prepackaged/shelf-stable food items. (Application states prepacked.)
=Water (and prepared energy drinks) shall be from a public, treated water supply transported and dispensed in clean food grade containers.
=Adequate trash receptacles shall be provided at the aid stations throughout the run route.
=Provide first aid kits at aid stations for minimal injuries as well as effective communication services in the event of an emergency.
=It is acknowledged that restrooms, licensed food and beverage service, are provided t the Anheuser-Busch Biergarten

Comments: An emergency access path of no less than 20’ wide shall be maintained free and clear of all immovable objects on streets and fire apparatus access roads at all times during the event. Road blocks may be placed on public streets to prevent traffic from crossing, but cannot block emergency travel. If road blocks are used ensure staff is available to remove barricade should emergency travel be necessary.
