Hello. I do not have a business. There will be no exchange of goods or payment for these classes. I am doing them as a service project for the yoga teacher training program that I am doing. I spoke with the Latimer County special events coordinator and he said that natural resources does not require a certificate for this type of event.

Ok- thanks for the information. Do you have recommendations about who to reach out to for event insurance. This is my first time doing something like this and I appreciate your risk management expertise.

I was able to form an LLC (Horsetooth Community Yoga LLC) and obtain a certificate of insurance with the requested information. Please let me know if you have any questions
Please provide a certificate of insurance with general liability limit no less than $1,000,000 per occurrence / $2,000,000 general aggregate. The certificate of insurance must name Larimer County as the certificate holder (Larimer County Risk Management 200 W Oak St Suite 4000 Fort Collins, CO 80525) and list Larimer County as an additional insured. Please note that Larimer County does not accept additional insured language that limits additional insured status to that which is “required by contract”, however, "by agreement" is an acceptable addition

Status: ApprovedComments: 5/26/21 The County is unable to provide a list of Event Insurance carriers as the list would be ever-changing and might appear to show a preference for one carrier over another. I would suggest typing in "Event Insurance" or "Special Event Insurance" into the search field of your browser. Please note, like most purchases on the internet it is important to verify the carrier is reputable before paying for a policy.
As part of the County's due diligence, all Special Event applicants are required to show proof of adequate liability coverage to protect the County in case of legal action brought about as a result of the event. This proof of insurance coverage is a requirement of Events held on County property regardless if there is an exchange of goods/payment. Insurance policies are not sold ONLY for business-type activities, a stand-alone one-time "event policy" can be purchased by an event holder. The determination of when proof of insurance is required is the responsibility of the Larimer County Risk Management Division.
