River Bluffs Open Space
Students in my graduate level Field Geomorphology class will collect data related to post-restoration monitoring at River Bluffs. We will meet the scientist and engineer responsible for the restoration onsite to discuss the 2013 flood, channel restoration, and ongoing monitoring. Students will then divide into two groups and collect channel geometry data, wood accumulation, and vegetation establishment. We will bring all necessary equipment.
Due to CSU's covid rules, the class size is reduced to 40% capacity so there are only 5 students in class, plus me as the instructor. We will wear wear face masks, gloves, and social distance while in the field.
Students will complete individual liability waivers prior to the field outing.
Thank you very much,
