Pinewood Reservoir,Ramsay-Shockey Open Space
EVENT: This event consists of a small gathering of 21 total people (2 the couple, 16 guests, 1 officiant, 1 photographer, 1 wedding planner) to exchange vows, take photos, and enjoy cake at the Pinewood Reservoir Campground in site #27 on Monday, September 14, 2020, at 5:30 in the evening. This event is not being held during prime time and the application is being submitted before the 45-day advance notice minimum.
IMPACT ON NATURAL ENVIRONMENT: We expect that the impact on riparian areas, wetlands, rare plants, plant communities, and sensitive wildlife species will not be significant. The ceremony is a stationary activity that will be conducted within the confines of the campsite. All movement before and after the ceremony will take place on a path, trail, or road to avoid creating unnecessary erosion. The non-intense event is taking place in the early evening on a late summer day.
IMPACT ON LANDS: We expect that the impact on adjacent public and private lands will not be significant.
Noise will be kept at an acceptable level as to not create any disruption. A BlueTooth speaker capable of 90 decibels (only 30 decibels louder than a normal conversation) will be used for less than 10 minutes total (once as the couple walks down the trail together and once for the couple's first dance). There may be brief moments of clapping or cheering, but it will not exceed an unacceptable amount of time or create an unreasonable disruption.
Trash will be placed in the appropriate bear-proof receptacles. In order to ensure that the site is clean, the wedding planner will dispose of any remaining trash at the end of the event.
Traffic should not be impacted.
Parking permits or passes will be displayed on the lower inside passenger windshield of all cars of people attending our event. Guests will park in Pinewood Campground or Ramsay-Shockey Trailhead parking lots. We expect no more than 10 total cars.
IMPACT ON OTHERS: We do not anticipate an impact of safety, potential conflicts, trailheads, overuse, and carrying capacity.
