38th Annual Human Race 5k
Start and Finish in Spring Canyon Park - course runs around the park with a short section in Larimer County in the neighborhood that is South of the park and Horsetooth Road to Harmony and back via the Fossil Creek Trail.

Residents of the neighborhood will be alerted the week prior to the event with door hangers on each house that is on the route as well as via the nextdoor website.

No road closures - race will cone the west shoulder of the neighborhood streets for the runners/walkers.

Participants will be spread out as the race format is a wave start of 50 people every 15 minutes as approved with a variance from Larimer County.

Comments: It is understood that this application is specific to the unincorporated roads affiliated with race course. Please note that this is a different Health Dept review than the COVID-plan review approved by the Health Department's Emergency Operations Center (EOC).

The Larimer County Health Department is the regulating agency for all food service at the Spring Canyon site and the aid stations.

=If the Health Dept’s EOC approved post-race food service per the COVID Public Gathering plan, please ensure the vendor holds a 2020 Colorado Retail Food license, and all food is from an approved source such as a grocery store or restaurant. Please ensure food service vendors have portable handwashing stations at the point of food service.

=Please ensure foods served at the aid stations are from an approved commercial source, individually packed, and not open for self-service. Please only offer shelf-stable foods that can be served at room temperature and do not require refrigeration.

=All beverages served at aid stations shall be individually packaged, or offered in single-use disposable cups. If dispensing from bulk containers, please ensure the containers have been cleaned and sanitized and are designed of food-grade materials. Only treated water from municipal supplies may be used for beverages.

=The City of Ft Collins will evaluate the portable restroom needs for the start/finish area. To protect all involved, it is strongly recommended that handwashing stations also be provided at all restroom stations in addition to the hand sanitizer.

=Trash cans shall also be available in the area of the aid station restrooms to prevent miscellaneous items being disposed in the portable restroom holding tanks.
