The Wycolo Border Patrol is the first ride in a series of monthly self supported winter rides called The Winter Ralleye, which has been going since 2003. This is a Rules of the Road Ride with a safety talk at the ride reminding riders to: 1. Follow all street, County Open Space, and Fort Collins Natural Area rules, 2 Be courteous to other users of the roads and trails, 3. This is a self supported ride which is 80 miles long, 4. It will be stressed to the riders that while on the trails at Red Mountain Open Space and Soapstone Prairie, groups of cyclist can be no more than 12 riders per group. The ride will meet at Me Oh My Pie in Laporte, CO. We will travel east on 54G to the left turn signal onto Taft Hill Road/ CR 19. We will go north on CR 19 and Cr 17 and enter the parking lot at Red Mountain Open Space. From Here most likely 60 riders will continue onto the trails from Red Mountain to Soapstone. The riders will be told to break into smaller groups of 12 or less which will also naturally happen on a ride where we first ride 35 miles to the trails and there are many different levels of riders on the ride because we are not a race. We will travel back down CR 17 and Cr 19 to the Poudre Trail whre the group will be spread out enough that only 5 or less will be together on the bike path at one time. We will finish at Wolverine Farm Letterpress Publik House.

Insurance will be provided before the ride from Bike Fort Collins which is a non-profit out of Fort Collins.

On-line map of the route is here: https://www.google.com/maps/d/u/0/edit?midhttps%3A%2F%2Fwww.google.com%2Fmaps%2Fd%2Fu%2F0%2Fviewer%3Fmid=1yJIeR8sii--8aIWQPnpHPLjsem0LxEDd&mid=1YbNniZJTky0EoMl4QmBnPcnOCgYZDWCP&ll=40.784733756179705%2C-105.11766999999998&z=10

This permit is one three or four that will be needed for this ride. I have a permit with the Fort Collins Natural Area that is pending approval to this permit application. A special event permit will also be filed with City of Fort Collins. Last year, I also filed a permit with Larimer County Natural Resources.
