Description:
The Harvest Moon Salmon Bake, now in it's 5th year, is a multi-course community farm dinner, to benefit Poudre Valley Community Farms, with fiscal sponsorship from Rocky Mountain Farmers Union.
Scheduled for Sunday, September 15, 2019, from 5-9pm at Poudre Valley Community Farm's property at 10428 N. CR 7 in Wellington. Current sponsors include: Jax Fish House, Post Brewing Company, Rocky Mountain Publishing, SCENE Magazine, North Forty News, 105.5 The Colorado Sound, krfc, and Jodar Farms (venue host.)
Set-up for the event is from 10am-3pm. Clean-up is from 9am-noon on Monday, September 16. Water will be available via the farmhouse on the property, a hydrant on the property and four 5 gallon water coolers provided by the Event Coordinator.
Beer and Wine is included in ticket price and will be served with dinner by TIPS trained volunteers. This is a 21 and over event.
There will be 20 volunteers and staff on site throughout the day and event, and 160 guests for the event. No more than 200 people on site at one time throughout the duration. Volunteers will be on-site for set up and take down, stationed at entry/perimeter, parking, checkin, beverage tent, and Food and Beverage.
There is ample parking on the property, on the north side along the farm road north of the corrals.
Temporary barricades will be used to block to of the driveway entrances onto the property during the event to ensure cars stay on the north side of the property.
No anticipated impacts to persons or property are anticipated. There are only fields across the road and neighbors will be invited to attend the event, as they have been in past years.

A Special Event Liquor Permit has been applied for and approved. Please come to 200 West Oak, Citizen's Information Center, to return your public notice poster in exchange for the physical permit that will need to be present at the event day of.

Comments: It has been acknowledged that the food is provided and prepared by Jax Fish House, with other commercial operations providing beverages.

Water will be made available from beverage dispensers. Please note that water must be from a municipal/treated source and not a well. It is not known if the house is connected to the well on-site or to Northern Colorado Water.

The submitted diagram indicates that portable restrooms (3) will be provided. Please note that at least one of the portable restrooms shall be of accessible/enhanced design. As with the previous event location, the property is served by a septic system and is not approved for assembly/event type occupation. Only portable toilets shall be allowed for use during the dinner.

Please include one portable handwashing station. This unit could be rented from the company providing the portable restrooms, or could consist of a water dispensing container (blue camping containers) with a catch bucket, soap and paper towels.

Trash receptacles shall be provided at the restrooms and throughout the site. It is not known if single service items will be used for food and beverage service, but recycling containers are also recommended if appropriate.

Since the event occurs over dusk hours, we would recommend implementing pest control or other means for protection from vectors such as mosquitoes which may carry West Nile Virus. This could include advising guests to protect themselves, or providing various mosquito repellents for guests to self-apply.
