Reviewing Agency Comments/Status
Email the Special Events Coordinator regarding this application.
Colorado Division of Wildlife
County Clerk and Recorder
Status: ApprovedComments: A Special Event Liquor Permit has been applied for and approved. Please return the Public Notice poster in exchange for the physical permit to 200 West Oak, 1st floor Citizen Information Center.
Status: ApprovedComments: It is understood that Nordy's will be providing the food for the dinner. Nordy's is a licensed Colorado Retail food establishment.
Please ensure that water is available to guests using beverage dispensers, drinking fountains, or commercial sources.
Public restrooms are available at the location that are served by public sewer. Per the building permits on file, it would appear there is a 'restroom building' with 2 restrooms, and the assembly building has 4 restrooms. For a special event for 450 guests for 5.5 hours and alcohol service, we would recommend 7 portable restrooms. If all of the existing restrooms on-site are open to the public and easily accessible to guests, this would be adequate.
Please ensure adequate trash receptacles are provided throughout the event such as bar, dining areas, and restrooms.
Larimer County Emergency Management
Status: ApprovedComments: The property is zoned FA1-Farming.
Kechter Rd or E CR 36 is classified as a major collector with a minimum setback of 100 feet from the right-of-way centerline. CR 5 is classified as an arterial road with a minimum setback of 110 feet from the right-of-way centerline.
The north and east half of the property is within a FEMA designated floodplain.
There are Class 4 and Class 2 wetlands mapped on the property.
No site plan was provided to show the location of the tent. It is assumed that the proposed event will take place in developed areas on the property outside of mapped floodplain and wetlands and that setbacks for temporary structures will meet required setbacks.
Any newly disturbed areas should be re vegetated with native grass seed to prevent noxious weeds.
For future, a site map will be helpful that shows the location for the proposed tent and other temporary facilities such as temporary toilets, etc. It would also be helpful to know the number of parking spaces that exist on site in the parking areas.
This is the second special event on this property in 2019.
