The CSU Larimer County Extension Native Plant Master course is taught in the field using living examples of Colorado flora. Participants learn plant identification, including scientific names, key botanical characteristics, learn ecological relationships, including non-native species, and the ecological importance of using native plants in a landscape. The course is taught by a CSU Larimer County Extension Volunteer. The class remains on the trail at all times, except when approached by a hiker, then the class will move off trail to let the hiker pass. No plants are picked.
