Our bicycle race event will take place on roads located around Cobb Lake. The specific roads that will be utilized are CR 52, Frontage Road, CR 56 and Taliesin Way.
Each race will begin in the event parking lot at Anheuser-Busch. The race will then cross over I-25 using CR 52. Crossing over I-25 happens only once per each respective category race.
Secondary roads being affected are CR 54, Robie Court, Tirana Court and Wingspread Court.
Utilization of the private roads near Cobb Lake and the facilities at Anheuser-Busch have been approved of.
The Cobb Lake Road Race is a bicycle race hosted by the Colorado State Cycling Club. It has been historically known as a premier event within the Colorado racing calendar.
Cyclists race against one another over the course of multiple laps of the circuit. The race will start at Anheuser-Busch and finish atop a small hill shortly after the entrance to The Hill at Cobb Lake Community.
Precautions will be taken to ensure the safety of the riders, spectators and vehicular traffic. F2, F4, and F5 certified flaggers will be present along the course to stop traffic as the race approaches, hold as they pass, and release after a safe distance is achieved. Cars traveling in the same direction of the race will be allowed to pass on the left in a safe manner and speed of 35mph.
