Comments: This event has options using CR 18E and CR 31 which access the Carter Lake District of Larimer County Natural Resources. No special events of any kind of permitted on these roads from Memorial Day through Labor Day. Either change your route or your dates.

This application for 4507 is denied by Horsetooth Reservoir District Manager due to having two road events in the same month.

An emergency access path of no less than 20’ wide shall be maintained free and clear of all immovable objects on streets and fire apparatus access roads at all times during the event. Road blocks may be placed on public streets to prevent traffic from crossing, but cannot block emergency travel. Comments: Since this event occurs on a weekend day, it does not conflict with any currently planned or scheduled road maintenance or construction activities. However, portions of the route(s) are included in our current year’s surface maintenance program areas for asphalt pavement overlay, chip seal, sealcoat and/or shouldering operations. These processes may be underway immediately prior to the event. We are unable to guarantee that participants will entirely avoid traversing surfaces that have recently been treated. For purposes of coordination, the event promoter must contact Jerry Macklberg,, Materials Manager, at 970-498-5662 at least thirty (30) days before the event. Event promoters are reminded that they are not to post event signs on traffic sign posts within the public road Right-Of-Way or paint on the surface of the road.
