River Bluffs Open Space

I am an assistant professor of environmental geosciences at the University of Northern Colorado. I am interested in installing a water quality sensor system and water stage logger at the downstream end of the restoration reach at River Bluffs, pending coordination with Larimer County staff and Otek Consulting. Preferable location would be in a somewhat stable region where turbidity and water level could be monitored and the equipment would not be disturbed. The water level monitor is installed in a stilling well (pvc pipe) installed typically with a fencepost in the channel. The water quality setup has a turbidity meter that sits on the bottom of the channel and has a datalogger and battery housed nearby in an enclosure. My staff are still engineering the enclosure, but it is going to be stored in a utility tote 24.88L x 17.63W x 14.75H similar to this one (https://www.amazon.com/IRIS-Gallon-Store-Stackable-Utility/dp/B01LXXMT6O/ref=sr_1_35?s=storageorganization&ie=UTF8&qid=1529966889&sr=1-35&refinements=p_89%3AIRIS%2BUSA%5Cd%2BInc.%2Cp_n_material_two_browse-bin%3A11618101011&th=1). A student or I would come and download the data and conduct any maintenance to the equipment about once a month.
