The Board of County Commissioners met with David Ayraud, County Attorney's Office; Chair Bender presided and Commissioners Gibson and Rennels were present. Also present were Steve Bebell and Gary Darling, Sheriff's Department; Andy Paratore, Information Management; and Jean M. O'Connor, Clerk to the Board.
Mr. Ayraud briefed the Board on the agreement between the County, the City of Fort Collins and Tiburon, Inc. relating to a computed aided dispatch system and noted that the City would pay two-thirds and the County one-third of associated costs. Mr. Ayraud pointed out that the agreement calls for County/City liability of equipment to commence upon delivery of equipment to the vendor. Mr. Bebell stated that the proposed wording is very common throughout the industry.
Mr. Ayraud stated that the previous draft of the agreement mentioned "mandatory" arbitration and Mr. Bebell replied that after much discussion, the agreement now states that arbitration "may be" utilized.
Commissioner Rennels moved that the Board of County Commissioners approve the Systems Implementation Agreement between the Board of County Commissioners, the City of Fort Collins and Tiburon, Inc.
Motion carried 3 - 0.
